I'm so excited for the trip. My emotions are all over the place but right now I feel nervous.  I can't wait to go up the sky tree even though I am terrified of heights. I fear being scolded by my host family for making a mistake on something. I hope my view of Japan will change and I hope that Japan will take a huge place in my heart for the future.

JUNE 17

Omg we are finally in Japan! There was so much going on and so much being done I couldn't walk no more by the end of the day. My first impression of Tokyo was it looked like New York. The building are tall but the lights sparkle and dance in the moonlight. It is six o clock in the morning but I feel ready to experience another day. One thing I am having a hard time adjusting to is the time. It is amazing how it is morning here and night time in America.  But I will get use to it.  Today will be another exciting day!

JUNE 19
It's amazing how we have experienced so much in one day. Yesterday we walked a lot. We did so much in one day, it feels like we've been here for a whole week! Yesterday we walked for 10 miles and took 20,000 steps.  Today we were suppose to visit the sky tree but the weather has decided to intefere and rain all day.  On this trip I have really gained a lot of confidence. I couldn't remeber the last time I went up to someone and said " hi" or     "what is your name".  This trip so far has changed that so far. Everyday I see myself changing, I want to know more about the culture and I want to interact with people. It fills me up with joy to see a japanese person asking to know more about me or not being afraid or intemidated to approach me. Everything is happening at a good pace now and I don't want to miss a minute. Even though I am here, finally here, there is more I want to experience. Today will be another exciting experience!

We have left the busy world o Tokyo and are in Nikko. My first impression of Nikko was it is very quiet. It took three hours to get there but made it. The town is very small and surprisingly not a lot of people visit Nikko. It's such a beautiful filled with beautiful temples and shrine. I was very amazed at how the architecture of old Japan is preserved for so long. While on the train to Nikko I started to see the different architecture and landscapes that each place hold. Nikko is a mixture of modern and old Japan. It makes me wonder how hiraizumi, our next place will be.

Today we are on the move again exploring every inch of Nikko. We saw the most amazing waterfall ever! I couldn't believe my eyes. This trip has made me look at nature a completely different way. I'm also becoming more and more in photography. It has been a lot of rain here in Nikko but we fight through as a group. Yesterday I felt like a kid as I watched a ninja show in Edo. The flowers were filled with color and bloom that it made my experiment in Edo wonderland all the more enjoyable. I will never forget that experience.
