Other worlds

Today we took a bus for nearby Kinugawa which holds Edo Wonderland, a recreation of a town during the Edo Period (roughly 1600-1870), and Tobu World Square, which displays famous structures from each continent in miniature, followed by a hot spring bath and ramen for dinner.  The weather mostly held out with some on and off rain and an occasional burst, but it was a pleasant temperature.  Edo Wonderland was quite a hit with the Trippers!  There were people dressed in Edo era clothing, the buildings were erected to give a clear vision of the architecture of that period, and attractions that the Trippers enjoyed, most of which had a ninja theme.  There was a life-sized ninja maze which took many 15-20 minutes to figure out the tricks, a ninja house that made you feel completely off kilter, and a performance of ninjas fighting on a stage filled with action and excitement.  The World Square was phenomenal if not only for its amazing gardens and thousands of bonsai.  We walked through rural Japan to go to an actual hot spring with water containing sulfur.  After the trippers got acclimated to the egg smell, the baths were enjoyed by all, one of which was an outdoor bath.

The Internet has been a bit spotty, so this is from yesterday.  Look for more soon!
